Spread the love

We have found, in our years of growing this amazing cannabis plant, that not only does growing organic CBD/organic hemp help the environment by eliminating synthetic fertilizer run off, but it actually makes for a more potent product!

Our first two years of growing we used conventional fertilizers, and saw CBD percentages in our processed hemp oil of 60%-70%.

When we went organic, using only OMRI (Organic Materials Review Institute) listed, natural plant foods and regenerative farming practices, we hit over 79% of CBD potency!  This is in the distillate range of potency, usually only achieved through a lab process – and we did it just by using organic methods and love.

You will probably not see too many ‘Certified Organic’ hemp products because the big producers do not want to stop using the ‘easy button’ synthetic, conventional fertilizers.

Organic Hemp Harvest

We do not have ‘Organic Certified’ on our labels because it’s an expensive, lengthy process. So while we are committed to using only organic, OMRI listed products, and natural, farm produced CBD.

We also only use OMRI listed products for pest control, and only then when we need to. We don’t spray our fields ‘just in case’ which is wasteful and causes the pests to adapt.

Case in point is BT treatment for caterpillars, it’s been so used that the caterpillars have developed resistance to it!  If we did not use our organic hemp method for combating them (Gemstar LC, excellent OMRI listed product I suggest to all growers!), we’d lose half of our crop to them.

I have no idea how the big corporate hemp farms deal with them, except just sending it and processing a whole bunch of caterpillars and their droppings into their products.

So not only do we see a better quality CBD and THC from using only organic CBD, regenerative farming practices, we also are not letting nasty chemicals run off into our water systems, helping to keep the earth clean and livable for our next generations.
