What is Soothe Salve, and how is it different from other CBD balms?
Rocky River Hemp Soothe Salve is made exclusively from hemp we grow on our farm, sustainably and organically, and made with simple, never artificial ingredients.
What does “full-spectrum” mean, and why is it important?
Full Spectrum CBD means that the CBD oil has all of the cannabinoids and terpenes that it came out of our flower with, including ∆9 THC, as opposed to CBD that has been isolated, and thus less effective.
How much CBD is in each tin of Soothe Salve?
Each tin of Rocky River Hemp Soothe Salve has 1000mg of Full Spectrum CBD.
Where is your hemp grown and processed?
We grow our hemp on on farm in Chatham County, NC, and we hand harvest and cure our flower. We then have our partner lab extract the Full Spectrum CBD oil, and we create our products in our NCDA inspected facility back on the farm.
How do I use Soothe Salve effectively?
Rub a small amount of Soothe Salve on the affected area. For muscle pain, massaging it in may speed the effect. You’ll want to keep it out of your eyes though, especially our Icy Soothe Salve.
How often should I apply it for best results?
You can use Soothe Salve as often as needed to keep pain and soreness in check.
Can I use it along with heating pads or ice packs?
Yes, you can combine Soothe Salve with heating pads, ice packs, or any other therapy that works for you.
Will I feel results right away, or does it take time to work?
You should feel the effects from 1-10 minutes of applying to the affected area.
What types of pain or conditions does it help with (e.g., sore muscles, arthritis, inflammation)?
Soothe Salve may help with sore backs, joint pain, bug bites, rashes, arthritis, and basically anything caused by inflammation.
Can I use it on my face or sensitive skin?
Yes, but keep it away from your eyes, and try a small amount on sensitive areas first.
Will Soothe Salve get me high?
I cannot say 100% that it will not, but chances are VERY, VERY, VERY small that you would feel any psychoactive effects.
Is it legal to buy or ship this salve to my state?
Please check your local laws to make sure Full Spectrum CBD products are legal where you live.
Can CBD topicals show up on a drug test?
Probably not, but there is a small chance.
Are there any side effects?
We have not seen any, but if you have any reactions, please let us know!
Can I use it with other medications?
Please consult your doctor if you have questions about interaction between Full Spectrum CBD products and your medications.
What scents or formulas does Soothe Salve come in (Original, Lavender, Rose, Icy)?
We make our Soothe Salve in 5 varieties, Original (peppermint, tea tree and eucalyptus essential oils), Lavender, Rose, Icy (menthol tingle) and Unscented.
What ingredients are used, and are they all-natural?
We only use natural ingredients: organic coconut oil, organic shea butter, organic beeswax, our full spectrum CBD oil, and organic essential oils.
Is it vegan or cruelty-free?
Yes it is Vegan.
Do you use essential oils in your salves?
Yes, we use only essential oils to create the scent of our Soothe Salves.
How long will one tin last?
Depending on how often you apply, a tin can last between a few weeks to a few months.
How should I store Soothe Salve?
Please keep Soothe Salve out of direct sunlight, or hot places. If you accidentally leave it somewhere hot (summer car etc), it may turn to liquid, if so, please use caution as it may spill, and that’s no fun. You can put in in the refrigerator to resolidify if it does get melted.
Does it expire or lose potency over time?
If kept in a cool place, out of direct sunlight, Soothe Salve can keep its potency for years.
Are your salves third-party lab tested?
Yes, our Full Spectrum CBD oil is third-party lab tested for potency and purity, and our final product is tested for potency.

I love the salve, my pain is in my back from mid thorax down to sacroiliac, with arthritis, disk degenerated so that vertebrae are sitting on the nerves causing reduced communication with the feet, ankles and legs and having pain in them. My feet are especially pained. I rub on the salve before bed and the pain relief is almost immediate. If my feet are hurting again by morning I rub in more and I can get through any errands or medical appointments for that day. My spouse thinks I exaggerate, but it is true. I was given some lip balm, worked wonders on my dry, cracked lips. I also received some gummies, some of the first ones given to a friend, who shared them. I tried them at bedtime and had a more restful sleep with less runaway thoughts, or anxiety. I have great confidence in Richard and Samuel’s farming and creating abilities to continue these products quality and effectiveness for a long time into the future.
