As we discovered with our older farm dog Tractor, full spectrum CBD oil dropped on his regular food is more cost effective for daily use than our Chill Out Dog Treats, but he didn’t like the taste as much and we had to add bacon fat to entice him to eat it. So we decided to cut out the middle man, add the bacon flavor to our 600mg CBD Infusion, and BACON BOOST was born.
As always we make our sustainable CBD products from hemp we grow on our farm in Chatham County, NC. We lab test, then bottle on the farm, keeping our hemp MCT Oil as simple and close to the roots as it can be – in this case, with an added boost of bacon flavor that makes excellent CBD dog treats on their food – and we’ve found cats like it too!
Full spectrum CBD oil may aid your canine companions with anxiety and pain, just like for people. Our Bacon Boost CBD comes in a 1oz dropper bottle, and a dropper contains approximately 12mg of CBD.

Q: How strong is the Bacon Boost Oil?
A: Each bottle contains 600mg of Full Spectrum CBD Oil. A full dropper contains 12mg of CBD, about 2x the potency of our Chill Out Dog Treats. For larger dogs, we suggest starting with a half dropper, morning and night, on their food. For smaller dogs, a few drops to ¼ dropper and increase until you see the effects.
Q: Will this oil get my dog high?
A: Probably not. I asked our dog about it, and he says he just feels good. Just kidding. Everything we make is Full Spectrum, which means there is a small amount of naturally occurring THC in our treats, but it is a very small amount.
Q: What is this oil best for?
A: Our Bacon Boost CBD Oil can help with canine joint pain, and anxiety caused by storms, fireworks, or new people. They are great for older dogs, or younger dogs that are especially nervous and need a bit of calm. They work great in combination with our treats; Bacon Boost for regular use, and treats for when a little extra relief is needed.
Q: Is Bacon Boost full spectrum?
A: Yes! Everything we do is Full Spectrum. Full Spectrum products allow all the plant compounds to work together, enhancing their benefits—a phenomenon known as the “entourage effect.”
Q: Is Bacon Boost Full Spectrum CBD Oil Legal?
A: Yes, for now. It complies with the 2018 Farm Bill and contains less than 0.3% Delta 9 THC by dry weight. That makes it federally legal to ship to most U.S. states, though some states have their own hemp restrictions. Always check your local laws before ordering.
Q: Can I give this to my dog during the day?
A: Yes! We always suggest starting with a lower dose to start, and experiment before you know how it will affect your bestie.
Q: Does this CBD oil help with pain and stiffness?
A: It definitely can! CBD reduces inflammation in people and in dogs, which helps reduce pain, and prevent more damage from occuring.
Q: Is this oil good for anxiety?
A: It sure can be! Full Spectrum CBD has been clinically shown to help anxiety. The FDA doesn’t allow us to say it, since we have to protect big pharmas brain meds (even for dogs now!), but luckily these folks (THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR HEALTH) say it for us. Our best friends have the same pains and anxieties we do, just in a dog way.
Q: What’s the best dose to start with?
A: We suggest starting with a few drops or a ¼ dropper for a small dog, which is 1.5mg to 3mg of Full Spectrum CBD. For a larger dog, ¼ to ½ of a dropper. We never found a high limit with our old German Shepard, he just got sleepy when he had too much.
Q: How long do the effects last?
A: Most dogs seem to feel the effects within 5-10 minutes because they metabolize faster than us, and the effects can last 2-4 hours, with a steady effect reached through regular use.
Q: Does this need to be refrigerated?
A: No, but we do suggest keeping it in a dark, cool place to avoid degradation from heat and light.
Q: What ingredients are used?

A: We make our oil very simply, in our NCDA inspected facility, by hand in small batches.

I’ve been using the Rocky River dog products for 4 years now for my 9yo, 60-ish lb. pittie and can’t say enough good things about the infusion! I’ve tried many CBD products and Rocky River is by far the most effective. Both the treats and infusion are spectacular at “dialing us back from 11” in anxiety-inducing situations (car rides, guest-related show-off zoomies. etc.) and taming “surprise scaries” (thunderstorms, fireworks, and the many wild and unpredictable wonders of life here in New Orleans). I love the flexibility of having the infusion *and* the treats for dosing options (real time vs planned, minor vs major stress). My dog can be really picky about eating or taking meds when he’s anxious or hyped up, but he loves these literally anytime. We use it on its own, mixed into food or with a little peanut butter. And, while I could clearly go on about how great Rocky River CBD is in general as a calming aid, as my dog is getting older, I truly appreciate how wonderful the infusion is for his joints and mobility. We’re pretty active and use it regularly before/during/after “big days” and for recovery, as well as anytime he seems a little stiff or sore. I’m confident we’ll be incorporating it as part of his daily routine sooner rather than later and I’m so relieved to have it in the rotation after seeing the results firsthand.
